Earl Grey Brown Ale release party

Earl Grey Brown Ale is back! This annual tradition is a collaboration beer between Ardent Craft Ales, Potter’s Craft Cider, and Champion Brewing Company, and we’re bringing it back for the 4th year in a row on Saturday, January 13.
For this release, we’re throwing an all-day party and showcasing our friends in Ardent’s taproom! In addition to Earl Grey Brown Ale and some of our other offerings, we’ll also have EIGHT guest taps pouring Potter’s ciders and Champion beers. Plus, River City Wood Fire Pizza will be here all day firing up their awesome pizzas!
Earl Grey Brown Ale starts with classic brown color and white, frothy head. The rich tea and citrus aromatics give way to easy-drinking mouthfeel and flavors of black tea and bergamot on top of a classic, malt-forward English brown ale. A light-bodied, mild brown ale with hints of Earl Grey tea. 6.5% ABV, 20 IBU
This beer will be available on draft and in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles.
From Potter’s Craft Cider:
Farmhouse Dry – 8.5% ABV – A dry, crisp cider made with Virginia grown apples including: Winesap, Pippin, Goldrush, Stayman and Jonagold.
Galaxy Hop Cider – 8.5% ABV – This cider is a blend of Jonagold, Rome and York apples that has been dry hopped with Australian Galaxy hops. The bright acidity of the cider is well complemented by notes of peach, lemon and pineapple from the hop addition.
Highland – 9.5% ABV – This Goldrush single varietal cider is aged in Virginia Highland Malt Whisky barrels from Virginia Distillery Company. The bright, acidic fruit character is balanced with aromas of vanilla, caramelized sugar, and a light smokiness reminiscent of single malt scotch.
Critter Mosaic – 8.5% ABV – This cider was fermented in a mixed culture barrel from our friends at Pen Druid Brewing and then dry hopped with Mosaic hops before extended cask conditioning.
